Mobile Learning, Any time Anywhere

Hi everybody,

firstly I need to apologize to you for being absent from this wonderful space of learning. I´ve been so busy that I have not been abled to enter at ning and share my experience with you. But, after a long period I'm back and I want to told you how challenging are being my Master Course and my new job.

As a Banco do Brasil´s manager I have been worked much more than I was only a Computer analist. It´s because when you are a manager you have to worry about all problems from your team members. It's demands me to work late almost everyday.

At the Master Course, in this first semester, I have classes on Mondays and Fridays, but I need to read a lot of pages every week and produce many texts about what I'm reading. The most part of the material I read is in English, so I'm using and improving a lot my English skills, it´s great!!! The monday's subject is Knowledge Management and on Fridays I study Search Methodology. Both are very interesting subjects and they are being very usefull to my improvement. I'm very tired but very glad to be able to do this course.

Well, that´s it. I promisse I will try to be more present here to share and lern with you. Best regards.

Hi Carla,

things are harder. I am at the University right now. I have just finished a proposal of Research project required by a professor who I want as my tutor. In fact, I`m dealing well with my course activities, though they are very demanding. My real problem is my new position in my company. I have no time go out, there are so many problems to solve and situations to deal with that I`m very tired and it is difficulting my development. But I believe I will overcome this situation and achieve a good level in my course. I`m WORKING HARD for that.

About Celso`s posts, I have to confess that I am not checking them as frequently as I'd like. But I will try to read (at least the last ones) and comment some of them.

Now I will go home... study a little more.

see ya.

Great, Marcelo! That's what I love about podcasts, the possibility of connecting what interests us to language learning. A perfect match!

How are things going at work and your Master's? Let us know. I love to receive your news. Have you checked Celso's posts about his trip to Canada? Just an amazing experience.

Marcelo,

Sure! I'd love to keep interacting with you here, for we both learn! I'm very interested in knowledge management and will look for the book you suggested. Try to read the one I suggested. It's mainly about information in the digital area and it has everything to do with you as you are a computer analyst. Your conclusion about knowledge management is certainly one that many organizations don't take into account, but I think Banco do Brasil invests a lot in it. Do you know Balduíno who was your classmate and works at Banco do Brasil? He's interested in this area, too, and we talk a lot about it and the effort Banco do Brasil puts in it. I'm glad you're enjoying your course. I've heard excellent things about Catolica. I'm even considering to take a course when I get back to Brazil.

Here, everything is great. I'm teaching another Listening Plus group. As always, a fun and enriching experience. Soon, another online course will be available to you!

Keep in touch. Oh, if you want to practice a bit, take a look at the interview I recorded with a friend http://elearningctj.bloxi.jp/a/week-3-abu-dhabi/

Hi Carla, I`m glad for being talking with you again. How are you? And your beautiful family?
I`m really very busy. But I promisse I will keep in contact. About my new position, I`m the manager of a software devolopers team, actually, the same team that I was part when I was an analist. It has been done a great experience. My team is responsable for all the payment and receipts software systems of the bank, so its as hard job, but, as the same time, it is a incredible oportunity to learn and I`m happy about this. About my Master`s course, it is fantastic!!! I`m learning a lot from both the teachers and colleagues. At the Knowledge Management subject we are studing deeply about the human relationships, learning process both in the individual and organizational level. Additionally, we I`m reading many books and articles about modern concepts of people management. In fact, the main conclusion I have already got is that the people is the most important resource into an organization and only through a effective team work the organizational goal can be achieve.

Among the books I`ve been reading, I`d like to make salient one called "Our Iceberg is melting". It`s a simple but excellent book about Change Management.

So, that is ii for now. Thank you for being in touch with me and keep giving me many worth opportunities to practice my English and share my experiences. Thank you so much.

Wow, Marcelo! It seems that you're in a turning point of your professional life. Great to know that things are really moving forward. I can totally understand how busy you are, but I hope you keep reporting here as time permits.

So, now you're a manager? What area are you managing in Banco do Brasil?

What have you learned so far in your Master's course that's worthwhile sharing with us? I think knowledge Management must be a very interesting area of investigation. In fact, I'm reading a book "Everything is Miscellaneous" which talks about knowledge in our digital world. Worth reading!

Waiting for your news!
